Many of these video lessons incorporate guided practice as well as independent work. It is a great way to "flip" a lesson, have students view a series of lessons outside of class, then discuss, and practice the skills in small groups within class time.
Prezi This link will take you to the Prezi tutorial videos and documents. Prezi is a great presentation program that is more visually appealing and customizable than Power Point. Great way to bring your presentations alive.
SimpleMindA Droid based mind mapping application, it is absolutely free, and works great for brain storming, note taking, and essay planning.
This website categorizes science resources according to apps, games/simulations, or websites. You can also search for free or paid resources. All resources are rated and vetted for effectiveness.
Timetoast A great flash based timeline program. Has a free account option. Very easy to use! Can add descriptions to events and even add in links or pictures.
A MASSIVE collection of premade lessons, interactives, printouts, and resources that are ALL aligned to the Common Core. Each lesson has printouts, the websites used, a pacing plan, and detailed instructions on how to implement the lesson. This is an amazing FREE resource that one would be foolish to not be using.
Elementary:
Zooburst An excellent digital story making program. Student create their own pop-up books and create their own story. Teacher accounts have a free level.
KerpoofA great free website that allow students to do everything from making digital pictures, stories, even movies! This website is aligned with the ISTE standards and has amazing possibilities. HIGHLY recommended. (K-8)

Teaching English with Technology This website is fantastic for ideas, resources, and tools. This link will take you to a list of 24 commonly taught books with resources on how to bring technology into the teaching of your novels.
Wix Website Creator Why not have your students create their own websites to share their work, thoughts, ideas, or create one on their favorite author? This website creator allows students to create free websites without having to know how to code. For students who know how to code, or want to learn, they can use HTML language as well.
A Hero's Journey An excellent interactive that teaches students about the universal narrative of a hero's journey. This is part of a larger website www.readwritethink.org that has a multitude of resources for teaching language arts to students from K-12.
